Scope and Content This rectangular longhouse is recorded as being of drystone construction and consists of three compartments. It was unroofed by 1880 and is still shown on current OS mapping. It is surrounded by a complex system of field walls, part of which overlie a broad rig field system. The field boundary was observed in the 1989 preafforestation survey as 'a massive stone wall which has created a lynchet 1.5m high. This wall is 2.0m wide and stands between 0.5 - 1.0m high.'.
