Scope and Content Distant view of Tain showing its location on the S coast of the Dornoch Firth. Tain is built around St. Duthus’s or Duthac’s medieval church and medieval Tain Castle. Along the coast to the NE the area of Tain rifle range is seen and beyond that Whiteness Sands. Loch Eye is seen in the distance at the top R of the photograph.
