Scope and Content This view shows, in the foreground, the Caplich sand and gravel quarry at Obsdale, Alness with modern housing estates beyond. The A9 can be seen traversing across the top of the view. Carn Liath cairn (Canmore ID13615) with a tree can be seen in the ploughed field at centre top and in the housing estate in the left half of the view a bronze flat axe head (Canmore ID 13754) was found.
