Scope and Content This view shows Inverness High school in the foreground: it moved to this site in 1937. Eden court Theatre is in the middle of the picture beside the river Ness, the multi culture arts centre for the Highlands. It was built in the 1970s and is integral to the former Bishop's Palace, originally Eden Court House. This fine large house was built in 1875 for the Bishop of Inverness cathedral and contains a large staircase and servants quarters. The cathedral Church of St Andrews is to the left, built in the 1860s, without the planned twin spires as this was too costly. Title and Scope & Content contributed by North of Scotland Archaeological Society (2021).
