Scope and Content This view of the South Sutor includes the remains of military installations which were used during WW1 and WW2. They include coastal batteries, water tank, signal station, engine house, radar station, observation posts and huts making up the battery. There were similar defences set up on the North Sutor, to protect the Cromarty Firth from incursions. Off the coast there is also a shipwreck dating to 1877.
