Scope and Content This view over the 18C Fort and Barracks of Fort George shows the Fort, Fortifications, Barracks, Regimental Chapel, Museum and seaplane base. The Fort was built to control the Highlands after the Jacobite rising in 1745, and in 2020 still remains an army garrison.
