Scope and Content This is a close view of Saltburn Pier, Invergordon, which was constructed to serve the now defunct aluminium works. To its right can be seen a jetty, behind which is the site of Military Housing dating from the two World Wars. The Military Hospital which became the County Hospital and was opened as the Invergordon County Community Hospital in 2005 can be seen at centre right with the recreation ground behind it and towards the bottom of the photograph.
