Scope and Content This image shows Ard Roy Causeway leading into the Cromarty Firth, with Evanton military airfield behind it. The runways of the airfield have survived and one has been partly built over by an oil pipeline construction frame which has been extended to run on to a causeway running out into the Cromarty Firth. Highland Deephaven Industrial Estate are the buildings on the R of the photo. The village of Evanton is in the L upper quadrant.
