Scope and Content In the far distance in the photograph the town of Strathpeffer is visible and beyond it to the W Loch Kinellan and its Crannog are seen. On the L of the photograph and roughly E of Strathpeffer the edge of Loch Ussie is visible. The R foreground shows the old crofting township of Bottacks, the Heights of Achterneed and the Heights of Inchvannie. The collection of houses at Blairninich is roughly central in the photograph. In the extreme foreground, just W of the pond, is an area of rig and furrow. Because of the distant view no archaeological detail is visible in this photograph.
