Scope and Content This is a view of Holm woollen mill on the river Ness. It was established around 1771 by James Pringle from Brora. The Mill was bought by Edinburgh Wool Company in 1989 and became the Holm Mills Shopping Village. To the left is the cement factory which was built in 1962 and demolished in 2019. The weir on the River Ness can be seen to the left of the Mill and the Caledonian Canal is at top right. Title and Scope & Content contributed by North of Scotland Archaeological Society (2021).
