Scope and Content Site of important and scheduled medieval castle of Ormond belonging to the family of Andrew Murray, one of the first leaders of the Scottish revolt against Edward 1's suzerainty. Stonework largely removed to help build the Cromwellian Citadel by General Monck's troops. Title and Scope & Content contributed by North of Scotland Archaeological Society (2021).
