Scope and Content The Milton of Leys or Mattar Development was established in 1990 with great expectations for a 200 bed hotel, 600 seat conference centre, 18 hole golf course and 1,200 new houses. Only the houses visible on this photograph have now been completed. The thin line of "General Wade's" military road is visible to the R of the new development, from the R-hand corner, going S.
