Scope and Content Dalcross Castle, is an early C17 tower-house castle. It was probably built in 1621 by the 8th Lord Lovat. The added North wing bears the date 1703. The upper floors became ruinous but the castle was restored for habitation in 1897-8. The stables and byres are relatively modern. There is a reference to extensive walled gardens, although no further details given on Canmore or HER. Title and Scope & Content contributed by North of Scotland Archaeological Society (2021).
