Scope and Content This is a general view of the southern part of Brora and looks over towards Loch Brora which can be seen at top left. The new woollen mill is prominent on the left of picture. Hunter's of Brora was established in the village in 1901 but closed in 1985. A new mill was funded by HIE and purpose built on the site of former railway engineering workshops. It opened in 1997 and closed finally in 2003. The Primary School and Community Centre is at centre right and among the many sites of archaeological interest in the area, we can see the site of the colliery and brickworks at upper left of picture.
