Scope and Content The large monument on the summit of Ben Bhragaidh, at 360m, was built in 1837 to commemorate the First Duke of Sutherland. There are references to a possible souterrain about 100ft below the monument, of which little remains. In the green fields below is Drummuie House, with the old school to its L. This has now been developed into the Sutherland Technical School, Golspie. Title and Scope & Content contributed by North of Scotland Archaeological Society (2021).
