Scope and Content Amat is a farmstead to the west of Gobernuisgach where the River Skisdale joins the Black Water. This view is to the west of Amat and shows evidence of prehistoric settlement - hut circle and clearance cairns - though the only record for this area is for the post-mediaeval farmstead at Amat.
