Scope and Content This view of Loch Salachaidh shows the island in the loch and a hut circle on the left bank of the loch. There are several areas of hut circles in the wider area, but this particular feature isn't specifically recorded on HER. Loch Salachaidh is the site of a skirmish in the C16 between the MacKays of Strathnaver and John Murray of Abirsors.
