Scope and Content This is a close view of prehistoric remains to the south of Loch Salachaidh. The hut circles on the right of picture are named Kinloch in the record and to their left is a collection of remains, named Loch Salachaidh, which include a cairnfield, a possible sheiling hut and some indication of field walls. There is another hut circle towards top right which isn't specified in the record (see SC1906945). Loch Salachaidh is the site of a skirmish in the C16 between the MacKays of Strathnaver and John Murray of Abirsors.
