Scope and Content Skibo Castle started life as a Bishop's Palace in the C16 and was rebuilt by Andrew Carnegie at the end of the C19 as a grand mansion. It now operates as the Carnegie Club, an exclusive private members club. The view includes the formal gardens and the Home Farm to the right of the castle. The glasshouses are behind the castle to the left. Loch Ospidale is at bottom left with the swimming pool, stables and former power station.
