Scope and Content This is a view of the development at Castle Heather, Inverness. The area is dominated by the golf course established at Fairways which is at centre right. The Fairways Golf Course and Driving Range was developed by the professional at Culcabock Golf Course and opened in 1996. Castle Heather Farm is just above centre and the site of the mediaeval moated homestead which gives its name to this area is just to right of centre at the line of trees running down the photograph. Wade's roundabout is at centre left and the Southern Distributor Road now runs from Wade's roundabout from left to right. There is a small shopping centre at the junction of Old Edinburgh Road and Balloan Road at bottom left. Title and Scope & Content contributed by North of Scotland Archaeological Society (2021).
