Scope and Content Mains of Aigas 19-20c steadings and outbuildings are at bottom right. Top centre is Aigas House. Sir John Lister-Kaye bought the house on the verge of its demolition in 1976. It had once been a Georgian tacksman's house dating from around 1760, before being taken over by a family of Glasgow shipping merchants in the 1870s as a summer sporting lodge.
