Scope and Content Newton of Petty is bottom right, referenced as a farmstead, although no further details are given. In the field above there is a reference to crop marks. To the right of the A96 at Newton cottage is a possible roundhouse and souterrain. Morayston farm and steadings are middle right, an unroofed building is shown on the first edition OS map. The railway between Inverness and Aberdeen is left and the A96 right. Norbord wood panel factory is top centre and the Moray Firth beyond.
