Scope and Content In the centre is Kilmorack Dam and power station on the River Beauly. Built in the early 1960s it is a good example of an integrated dam and turbine hall utilising a steep sided river gorge for the generation of power. However, it's construction abolished the famous Kilmorack Falls, a tourist attraction since Victorian times. Above it, almost covered by the trees, is Kilmorack Old Parish Church 1786 (now disused) and graveyard. It replaced an earlier church, 200m further E. The manse for the "new" church is at top L, late C18, built for Rev John Fraser 1769 - 1804, and doubled in size in mid C19th. Title and Scope & Content contributed by North of Scotland Archaeological Society (2021).
