Scope and Content Nigg Fabrication yard on the Cromarty Firth is in the centre. Oil rigs were constructed there between 1971 and 2009, when it had the largest dry dock in Europe. Oil storage tanks are visible centre right. The long jetty serves the oil terminal. In the foreground are the remains of Dunskeath country house which became a military Hospital in WW1.
