Scope and Content Melvich Gravel Pit, towards top centre of picture, is disused and Kirkton Gravel Pit, in the forefront, was extended in the late 1990s but nothing of archaeological interest was identified. The Halladale Bridge carries the A836 over the Halladale River on the right of picture and there is a substantial area of prehistoric settlement in the area at top right. There is a broch at Loch Mor, on left of picture. Title and Scope & Content contributed by North of Scotland Archaeological Society (2021).
