Scope and Content Berriedale is a small C19 village between Helmsdale and Lybster. It's famed for the Berriedale Braes, a particularly challenging stretch of the A9, where the road drops steeply to bridge the river and then rises again in a series of sharp bends. The site of Berriedale Castle is on the promontory at bottom of picture. Title and Scope & Content contributed by North of Scotland Archaeological Society (2021).
