Scope and Content This rather poor image of Strath Kildonan shows Kilphedir Lodge at bottom R, with a footbridge across the Helmsdale River leading to homesteads and previous settlements on the S side of the strath. The long building on the ridge in the upper R section is (modern) Eldrable farmhouse. The railway from Helmsdale (from the L of the photo) to Kildonan runs diagonally across the image.
