Scope and Content A close view of a farmstead within the deserted settlement of Lothbeg in the centre right. Just left of centre where the burn passes under the railway (along the foreshore) and a point known as Sput Dubh, a cist and part of an early medieval cross slab were discovered during the building of the railway in 1869. The cross fragment is now in Dunrobin Museum. Title and Scope & Content contributed by North of Scotland Archaeological Society (2021).
