Scope and Content The area in the image is at the S end of The Ord, an extensive Scheduled Monument comprising chambered cairns, cairns, settlements and field systems, including numerous hut circles. A prominent circular feature near centre, of Bronze Age date, was initially identified as a henge or robbed bell cairn, now thought to be a homestead defended by a ditch. Areas of rig and furrow are visible nearby. Three hut circles are located in lower right quadrant of image. A large irregular enclosure, with turf and stone enclosure bank, is prominent in the upper left corner of the image, with two hut circles below (one bisected by a fenceline).
