Scope and Content Lochindorb Caste dates to the C13 and was the property of the Comyns. By the end of the C14 it was in the hands of Alexander Stewart, the Wolf of Badenoch. It passed to the Douglas Earls of Moray but was dismantled in 1458 though the walls still stand to nearly full height. The OSA suggests that it was built on an artificial island and this seems to have been confirmed by an underwater survey carried out in 1993. Title and Scope & Content contributed by North of Scotland Archaeological Society (2021).
