Scope and Content Broch, Hut Circles and Souterrain at Kilphedir, Sutherland, Highland The Kilphedir broch is built on a knoll with views up and down the valley. The outer defences are now overgrown by heather. Nearby are the remains of three-hut circles and a 9.5 m long stone-lined souterrain. More hut-circles are close by. This is a view of the broch itself. It now in a tumbled state, but the outer defences are particularly impressive. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
