Scope and Content The National Trust for Scotland visitor Centre fills most of the photo. Around it is the site of the battle of Culloden (16th April 1746) when the supporters of Charles Edward Stuart faced the Hanoverian troops under the Duke of Cumberland. And lost! Above the right hand car park is Old Leanach Cottage, a low thatched farm building shown on the 1st Edition OS, now restored. Title and Scope & Content contributed by North of Scotland Archaeological Society (2021).
