Scope and Content The Lochardil estate, at top left of picture, was developed in the 1960s and the Primary School was opened in 1964. Lochardil House is to the right of the Primary School and was built in 1876-78. It became a hotel in 1956. Lower Drummond is on the right of picture. Drummond Hill, at bottom of picture, was built c. 1890 by William Burns, Inverness solicitor. In the 1950s it was acquired by the Northern Agricultural College and in the 1990s when regional agricultural colleges merged, it became the Scottish Agricultural College. The College moved to premises at UHI in 2019 and Drummond Hill has now been converted into flats. Title and Scope & Content contributed by North of Scotland Archaeological Society (2021).
