Scope and Content This view shows, at the centre, the beach where a significant prehistoric lithic working site (Canmore ID 11754) was identified in the eroding sand dunes in 1964. It was visited again in 2000 by the Scotland's First Settlers Project. Many of the lithics from the site were taken to the National Museum of Scotland, Edinburgh. Also in the view are several townships (Canmore ID 104936 and 104937) which were recorded in the First Edition Survey Project, a desk-based exercise.
