Scope and Content This view shows the island of Pabay. The name, signifying 'Priest's Isle', is of early Celtic origin. The overgrown stone foundations of a "teampull" or chapel and burial ground (Canmore ID 11569) are located bottom right of the island. A prehistoric lithic scatter (Canmore ID 192661) and a prehistoric rock shelter and shell midden (Canmore ID 192662) were located on the island in the Scotland's First Settlers Project 1999 to 2000.
