Scope and Content Gordonstoun School was founded in 1934 by the German educator, Kurt Hahn and became co-educational in 1972. Gordonstoun House dates back to the C16 and there are several structures associated with this early history of the estate. However, this photograph is taken too far away to allow for any detail. The Lossiemouth Airfield is next to the school and part of the runway can be seen in the foreground. RAF Lossiemouth was established in WW2 and is still occupied by the RAF. Title and Scope & Content contributed by North of Scotland Archaeological Society (2021).
