Scope and Content The buildings and enclosure at centre are Easter Raitts, an abandoned township to the north of Lynchat in a wider area of settlement known as Upper Raitts. It was used as a model for the reconstructions at the Highland Folk Park in Newtonmore and was the site of an excavation between 1995 and 1999 as part of the Certificate in Field Archaeology offered by Aberdeen University in the second half of the 1990s.
