Date 1997

Collection Papers of James Sloan Bone, landscape historian, Inverness, Highland, Scotland

Catalogue Number SC 1867268

Scope and Content A very wide view with the bridge lower left. In the trees to the right of the near bridge foot is an 18th century tacksman's house, a WW1 Coastal Battery site and a WW2 Barrage Baloon site. Across the bridge on the Plock of Kyle and just above the road far right is the site of a WW2 anti aircraft battery and military camp. Below centre to the right of the bridge foot the Kyle lighthouse keepers' houses stand out, but the lighthouse itself is largely obscured by the bridge.
