Scope and Content This view shows the north end of the Caledonian Canal as it leaves the Moray Firth at Inverness. In the foreground is the Clachnaharry Sea Lock (Canmore ID 13477) and the Clachnaharry Sea Lock basin (Canmore ID 87203). At the centre of the view is the wooded hill of Tomnahurich with its Cemetery (Canmore ID 128588) and to its right the Caledonian Canal continuing in a SW direction down the Great Glen to Corpach, near Fort William. In the woods on the right the vitrified hillfort of Craig Phadrig (Canmore ID 13486) is seen. Title and Scope & Content contributed by North of Scotland Archaeological Society (2021).
