Scope and Content The Dornoch Bridge was opened by the Queen Mother in 1991 and provides a direct route north for the A9 across the Dornoch Firth. On the Ness of Portnaculter, behind the bridge on the left, there are several sites of interest - an ice house, WW2 remains, pier and ferry house.
