Scope and Content This is a section of grouse moor to the south-east of Tomatin which is part of the Corrybrough Estate. The area has several sites of interest. There is an extensive prehistoric landscape - hut circles, field systems and cairns - as well as post mediaeval townships and, of course, shooting butts. The Wade Military Road runs across the top of picture. Burnton is by the stand of trees at top left. In 2012-2013 NOSAS conducted an archaeological survey of sites from Raigbeg (top left) to Creag an Tuim Bhig in the foreground. Title and Scope & Content contributed by North of Scotland Archaeological Society (2021).
