Scope and Content This is a very general view of Beauly and although there are many historic sites in the village, none can be seen clearly in this photo. Beauly is a planned village dating back to the early C19 and best known for its Priory - the roofless church of the Valliscaulian Monastery founded c. 1230. The Beauly pier or landing wharf is on the left side of the first left loop or the Beauly River. Title and Scope & Content contributed by North of Scotland Archaeological Society (2021).
