Scope and Content Raigmore hospital is in the centre of the photo with the A9 behind. Work began on the hospital in 1940 as an emergency medical scheme hospital to care for the war casualties. It consisted of single store flat roofed brick buildings, mostly now demolished. It was later built in stages as part of a NHS centralised hospital. Now it has a multi ward tower. The Inverness business park is to the right. Title and Scope & Content contributed by North of Scotland Archaeological Society (2021).
