Scope and Content The coastal features, or their locations, stand out best in this image. Galmisdale Bay in the foreground has a prominent boomerang-shaped fish trap, the former ferry pier, and tiny Clanranald Harbour close to the high tide line. The second bay, Poll nam Partan, is the foreground to Kildonan on its green headland, upper R. St Donan's Church lies below and to right of the rectangular plantation, with the site including a cross, cross slabs, a possible medieval font and a possible Sheela na Gig. A Viking burial is located midway between the plantation and the sea to the right. Rudha na Crannaig, the headland bounding the far side of Poll nam Partan, has a fort, preaching site and possible monastic settlement near its tip.
