Scope and Content Fingal's Cave is at lower right of image. At upper centre, the rig and furrow is thought to date from the last quarter of the 18th-C. The adjacent ruin, visible on enlargement, is thought to be a partly-constructed hostel for visitors, dating from 1815 but never completed and now much decayed.
