Scope and Content There are many sites of interest in Beauly but few are easily identifiable in this photo. The Priory is at the bottom of the picture. These are the remains of the Valliscaulian monastery which was founded c. 1230. In the centre is the Square and to its right is the Lovat Arms Hotel, built in 1871-72. Beauly Primary School (1875-76) is at top right. Title and Scope & Content contributed by North of Scotland Archaeological Society (2021).
