Scope and Content This is a wide view of Mar Lodge and its C17-C19 designed landscape with Claybokie at bottom left and Mar Lodge in the centre of the photo. The River Dee takes a winding path at this point. Mar Lodge is a hunting lodge, built in 1895 on the site of an earlier building. It is now owned by the National Trust for Scotland. The estate has several archaeological sites of interest. Title and Scope & Content contributed by North of Scotland Archaeological Society (2021).
