Description Aerial view of Loch Ness, looking SW.

Date 1988

Collection Papers of James Sloan Bone, landscape historian, Inverness, Highland, Scotland

Catalogue Number SC 1863145

Category On-line Digital Images

Scope and Content In this general view of Loch Ness, Borlum is in the foreground, but other specific places are difficult to identify. The Dochfour embankment on the right carries the A82 through the N part of Loch Dochfour and this photo shows the point where the canal and the river diverge as they exit Loch Ness. Through the mist in the distance is the familiar shape of Meall Fuar-mhonaidh, on the W of Loch Ness. Title and Scope & Content contributed by North of Scotland Archaeological Society (2021).
