Scope and Content This is a wider view of Lower Drummond than SC1863134. In this view Island Bank Road runs from centre left to bottom centre. Drummond Crescent curves round on the left of picture and Stratherrick Road runs from centre picture to the right. Drummond Circus is just to left of centre. There are several large mansions in this area, including Brae Rannoch (centre) which is occupied by L'Arche Highland and Rosedene (centre left) which from 1940-1951 acted as a maternity hospital. In recent years it has been a children's home, an architect's office and a beauty salon. It is now (2020) being converted into apartments. Next to Rosedene is Rosedene Court, which was established as a sheltered housing complex. Drummond School is at top right. This building was replaced in 2008. Drummond Park sits above Stratherrick Road to the left of Drummond School. Drummond Hill is at bottom right. It was occupied by the Scottish Agricultural College and has now been converted into flats. Title and Scope & Content contributed by North of Scotland Archaeological Society (2021).
