Scope and Content This is a close view of Inverness Ice Centre which was opened in 1968 on the Bught estate which was bought for the town in 1923. The ice rink was built on the site of Bught House and Inverness botanic gardens and floral hall were situated in the walled garden of Bught House. They are just coming into view at bottom left. The Ness islands with one of the suspension bridges is at right of picture. The BMX track and skate park are to the right of the ice rink. The Bught has been identified as the main site for sporting activities in the city. Title and Scope & Content contributed by North of Scotland Archaeological Society (2021).
